Description
Blown glass wig ball with chromolithographs inside: a Baroness, a halberdier, a lyre player, Isabelle and others
All set against a background of bronze, cream, blue and yellow powder paint
To be placed on a ring, a bronze candlestick, a Medici vase...
The Potichomanie technique consisted of cutting out images and sticking them inside the ball, then coating the whole with white to give a porcelain effect or powder-coated colours
A highly decorative and totally unusual collector's item, ideal for a quality curiosity cabinet
Exceptional collection of around fifteen balls available in Ref. 6745 to 6754!
18D approx
Bronze-coloured discolourations and stains on the chromos, defects, stains and missing parts in the interior paintwork, small bubbles in places in the mouth-blown glass, but still a very fine collector's item
